TOPE 8 Runners Up

Down below you can see some of the other shots I took for TOPE 8. Only a few of the (IMO) more interesting ones have been shown.

Extra picture nr. 1 (Gioconda)
Gear, film and exposure: Shot with OM-4Ti + Zuiko 100/2. Film used: Kodak Ektachrome E100VS. At something between f2 and f4, bulb exposure of several seconds.
Subject information and technique: The same technique as for the shot on the main page was used: bulb exposure, several seconds, two strobes flashing with different frequencies (the flash on the right was set to a higher frequency).
I like the "two-heads" effect that can be seen in this picture. Also, I like the fact that the expression on the left face is different from the one on the right face. I do not like the hotspot though, so this is one of those "lessons learnt" shots: keep the flaws in mind and do a better re-shoot some day.

Extra picture nr. 2 (Karol)
Gear, film and exposure: Shot with OM-4Ti + Zuiko 100/2. Film used: Kodak Ektachrome E100VS. At something between f2 and f4, bulb exposure of several seconds.
Subject information and technique: The same technique as for the shot on the main page was used: bulb exposure, several seconds, two strobes flashing with different frequencies (the flash on the right was set to a substantially higher frequency than the strobe on the left).
I like the "fade-in" effect when looking from the left to the right, as well as the asymmetry in the shot. The picture is a tad too dark though.

Extra picture nr. 3 (Gioconda and Karol)
Gear, film and exposure: Shot with OM-4Ti + Zuiko 50/1.8 or Zuiko 35-80/2.8. Film used: Kodak Ektachrome E100VS. At something between f1.8 and f4, bulb exposure of several seconds.
Subject information and technique: The same technique as for the shot on the main page was used: bulb exposure, several seconds, two strobes flashing with different frequencies (in this shot there does not seem to have been a big difference in the two flash frequencies).
In this shot I managed to capture a "disco" effect. The shot worked out pretty much the way I had envisioned it, so the shot was a success. For the main page I wanted a shot with a "stronger" effect though, so I decided to put one of the "partial motion" pictures there.
