Shooter in Action

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Barry Hinderks
Title: Shooter in Action
Gear used: Olympus 35RC
Diaphragm: Unrecorded but I think F8
Shutter speed: Unrecorded but I think 1/60 - all done on auto
Film used: Fuji Superia 200
Technical information: I had recently purchased the RC in a pawn shop and this was the first roll through it.
Subject information: Part way through the test roll I remembered the TOPE event. Wanted to do the mirror thing to check the rangefinder accuracy. While looking through the viewfinder saw the frame after frame. Used exposure lock on a mid tone off camera with just available light .

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (ogreve@web-wizards.com) I think this is a really funny picture.
It looks like you're ambushing someone in true paparazzi style (e.g. a star coming out of the bathroom) for getting an unexpected picture, but then in turn they shot you! :)
Also, the mirror looks a bit like it's part of the door frame, so fortunately this doesn't take away from the above effect.

Small point for improvement: you could have cropped the left and top a bit (and mirrored the image from left to right), so it wouldn't have shown at all that the picture was actually a self-portrait taken in a mirror.
