Submitter's Name: Hans van Veluwen
Title: Hans Still Wants A 16mm Zuiko Fisheye ;)
Equipment Used: OM-4Ti (Self-Timer, Auto Mode) + Zuiko 21mm/3.5 + Tokina Video Wide Conversion Lens 0.7x + Metz 40MZ-2 (TTL Mode) + Sto-Fen OmniBounce Flash Diffuser
Location: The Computer Room annex Digital Dark Room, the place where the e-SIF was created.
Aperture: F8 or F11
Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec.
Film Used: Kodak Elite Chrome 100
Scanner: Nikon CoolScan III (LS-30)
Digital Technique: The semi-circular image is also on the slide; I made a circular selection of it, converted it to an object, and filled the black edges with the background colour of the TOPE pages. An unsharp mask was applied to the selection, and finally the edges of the selection were smoothened.
Photo Technique: When I got a set of Tokina Video Conversion Lenses, 0.7x and 1.4x, for a nice price ($12) at the Cash Converters, I was looking for a subject to test them. Because the shooting period for TOPE 1 was still pending, I thought "Why not combine The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly?" ;)
So here I am.
These conversion lenses are really neat. You can put the Wide Converter on the Zuiko 21mm/F3.5, 24mm/F2.8 or 28mm/F2.8, and get yourself a Poor Man's Fisheye / Super Wide Angle. The 1.4x converter does a nice job on the 85mm/F2 or 100mm/F2.8. They are extremely light weight, and the image quality is reasonable.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (ogreve@web-wizards.com) The quality of the "poor man's fish-eye" is not bad at all!
Also, you cleverly positioned your face in the centre of the frame, so your face did not get too heavily distorted (perspective wise).
There are some interesting pictures in the background, are these the drummers you promised me you would borrow me for the next light painting experiment? ;)

Comment left by: Siddiq (siddim01@student.ucr.edu) So, when was the self-portait on the eSIF page taken?

Comment left by: Dirk Wright (wright@kreative.net) So Hans, what's with the geisha girls? What, you don't like European women?

Comment left by: Carlos Santisteban (cjss@supercable.es) Funny shot. I like the idea of filling the black edges with the background colour of the TOPE pages.
