Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Tom Scales
Title: Self-Portrait in a curved mirror
Gear used: OM-4T + Zuiko 90/2 Macro
Diaphragm: unknown
Shutter speed: unknown
Film used: Fuji Superia 400
Technical information: This was shot in a curved mirror on the ceiling.
Subject information: This was shot in the hallway of the Fairview-University Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN just three days after my wife's pancreas transplant. If the camera wasn't in the way, you'd see an unshaven, unkempt guy. Well, pretty much me at my best.

So, you found a nice way to transform a 90/2 into a fish eye lens...
Seriously: this is the type of picture that will give you at least some fond memories of an otherwise difficult time with all the medical trouble your wife has gone through. These are the "little" things that are so important in every day life and that make a big difference to the way one handles things. Again, my best to your wife and I hope the rest of the recovery goes well!
Then, as a picture, what really makes this a neat photograph to me is the way you can clearly see from your big grin (isn't everything always bigger in Texas? ;) ) just how much fun you have at taking pictures. That's what I think the Olympus list and photography in general is all about; you have just given a great demonstration of that!
