Title: Me of course!!!!!
Gear Used: Olympus Camedia Digital Camera C-2040 Zoom, AF Zoom 7.1 - 21.3mm
Diaphragm: Auto
Shutter Speed: Probably 1 - 2 sec
Film Used: Digital Camera
Technical Information: I didn't want the flooding effect of the flash. Therefore, I simply decided not to use it! All technical information is revealed in the AUTO function of the camedia.
Subject Information: Yes! I was bored. Wandered into my friends office, Martin (the new TOPE 7 entry - Martin Stange I introduced). I quickly be-friended his digital Olympus Camedia. I thought, hmmmmmmmmmm - some fun. Immediately, I saw my prominent reflection of myself and the office. But I asked myself, 'I dont have a tripod - but how do I accomodate that?". Well, the trusty filing cabinet was sitting right next to me. It stabilised the picture well (with limited hand shake) and allowed a sufficient exposure without the intervention of background light form distant buildings. That basically made the picture, even though it wasn't the best of my collection - but was simply more abstract and individual than all the other so-called 'portraits'.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) I especially like the double set of shades: the ones at the level in which you are reflected, and the ones behind you, that creates a wicked effect.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) I really like the composition - the venetian blinds are a good foil to your presence in the frame of the photo. Also, the relaxed look on your face. Overall, makes a good portrait.

Comment left by: Alasdair Mackintosh (Alasdair.Mackintosh@activerf.com) Interesting framing, with a nice balance of vertical and horizontal lines. (And I like the contrast of the leaning torso and the vertically hanging necktie.)

Might be a good idea to try and rotate the canvas slightly to make the verticals true?
