Monde De l'Eau

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Jim Caldwell
Title: Monde De l'Eau
Gear used: Olympus E-10 on manual exposure with flash
Diaphragm: F/4
Shutter speed: 1/125
Film used: None! Recorded onto 128 Mb Compact Flash card.
Technical information: This was an experiment with the new Oly digital - zoomed in and used macro setting on manual focus. Shot several exposures and chose the best of the lot!
Subject information: I saw something similar to this on a website and decided to put my spin on it. This is a CD Rom in a kitchen sink with the water splashing down from the faucet. I used the flash to freeze the water and had to play around to get the best diffraction effect on the CD. This is one of the first with the E-10. Great little camera! This nice abstract shot deserved a good French title!

Comment left by: Mickey Trageser (no e-mail specified) There's just something about flash on the splash!

Comment left by: Wendy O (no e-mail specified) Love this shot! Now my boyfriend is saying, "How come there is a CD in the sink?" (Had to try it)

Comment left by: Jay Maynard (jmaynard@conmicro.cx) Ooh, shiny.

Please tell me you finally got some use out of an AOL CD... :-)

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Is there a running theme with sinks, digitals, and macro?
