Pegs

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Marc Lawrence
Title: Pegs
Gear used: OM-40/PC + 50/1.4 + +1(?) dioptre + two legs of tripod + cable release
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: Not recorded
Film used: Kodak Gold 100
Technical information: Why two legs of tripod? I was standing on my tippy-toes on a tree stump, and the third leg had nowhere to go.
Subject information: Just a clothesline, stretched between a couple of trees, with a few coloured pegs on it. I've taken way too many pictures of it (though mostly on slide film on my Canon, so they're "disqualified" from entering). I was swaying, the trees were swaying, and the line was swaying - not the best way to take a photo with such limited DoF. I think this would have been better with the righthand, blue peg sharpest, and less of the bright background on the left. I also like to stretch themes, obviously

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Don't change a thing - the colors, the water, the angle of the line, and the DOF all work together to make this a great picture.

Comment left by: chaya (chayas@ix.netcom.com) great eye. Good use of color.I love the DOF
