Canadian Architecture

Submitter's name: Wayne Culberson
Title: Canadian Architecture
Gear Used: OM2s + 50/1.8
Diaphragm: f/11
Shutter speed: Unknown (I forget)
Film used: Kodak Portra 400VC
Technical information: Interestingly, even with all the water, spot-metering off the green of the trees and center-weighted metering gave me the same reading. The camera was hand held as the black flies were so bad I didn't take time to set up the tripod. Besides, one foot was on shore, and one foot on a rock in the edge of the pond, and that didn't leave a place to put a tripod anyways. This pond was found a few miles from our house, while exploring along a dirt woods road. My wife was with me, but stayed in the Tracker to avoid the black flies.
Subject information: A typical beaver house in a beaver pond, built of course by a Canadian beaver. The dam was too far away to include in the picture. Okay, so I find it hard to get away from nature photography. It's what I like. I tried the artsy stuff, but it just doesn't work for me.
