Submitter's name: Adam Bolt
Title: Get me offa here!!!
Gear used: Olympus OM-10 with Tamron 80-210 f3.8 hand held.
Aperture: f16
Shutter speed: 1/60 sec
Film used: Kodak Gold 400
Technical information: I had the camera set at 1/60 sec because I wanted to blur the water behind the cat and make him stand out against the rocks. I over exposed the shot by 1 stop to allow more detail into the darker areas knowing that because the cats fur was so white it would not make too much difference in blowing out the highlights. Shot at about the 135 focal length I was a little worried about camera shake but the cats head has come out sharp enough even though the background is slightly blurred. The light was very even this day, being overcast, and I think the Kodak film helped to bring out the colours.

Don't mess with this kitty, or it turns into a tiger! :)
Brilliant shot!!!

Comment left by: Conrad Vogel (conrad@nidlink.com) This is my favorite - I like how the effect of the water in the cat's hair makes it sharp & spikey, but makes the waterfall soft & blurred.

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) That's one ferocious feline! I like a shot with attitude and humor.

Comment left by: Walt Wayman (no e-mail specified) I like this one, but I have four cats who don't. They want to know if treats and a sunbeam were provided immediately afterwards.

Comment left by: Marc Lawrence (mlawrence@cfp.com.au) "...and here we have the cat - natural enemy of water". Remember that juggler who use to juggle the cat (swapped "magically" for a fake) and "the natural enemy of the cat", a chainsaw. This is what I thought of when I saw this, and had a good laugh. It's a great balance of "opposites".
