Cincinnati & the Ohio River

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Keith Quarles
Title: Cincinnati & the Ohio River
Gear used: OM-4T + 24/2.8 + Varimagni Finder + table-top tripod + cable release.
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: Approx. 2 sec.
Film used: Kodakcolor Max 400 ASA.
Technical information: I used a table-top tripod placed on top of a stone wall. I bracketed the exposure over several settings, and the longest exposures looked best.
Subject information: Photo taken 4/16/02 from Newport, Kentucky looking across the Ohio River. This is from a series of pictures I took at dusk and right after. These are the first pictures I have taken with Olympus equipment.

Wow, if this is your first with Oly gear, I'm looking very much forward to seeing your later work!!!
Also, it must hav ebeen difficult to make that dark bridge visible, you have captured exactly the right light balance!

Comment left by: Jay Maynard (jmaynard@conmicro.cx) Nice reflections...and the river's even not on fire! :-)

Comment left by: Mickey Trageser (no e-mail specified) Did I miss the link to the print order form? Quite a beautiful image. Luscious color and crisp. Nice tonality.

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Call the Chamber of Commerce - they need this one for their next brochure. Nice shot.

Comment left by: Chuck Norcutt (chucknorcutt@attbi.com) Yup, what Barry said. This is definitely a Chamber of Commerce shot. Well done.
