Corpus Christi Morning

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Dick Locke
Title: Corpus Christi Morning
Gear used: OM2s + 50/1.8 + tripod + cable release.
Diaphragm: Unrecorded, probably f8 +/- 1 stop
Shutter speed: Unrecorded, used auto mode & bracketed by 1/3 stops
Film used: Fuji Velvia 50 ASA
Technical information: I used a circular polarizer + warming filter (AKA "Moose filter"). I varied apertures and used the OM2s' auto mode. Bracketed using the exposure compensation control in 1/3 stop increments. Scanned on Nikon Coolscan IV ED, curves & unsharp mask in Photoshop.
Subject information: Corpus Christi, TX, USA. Beach scene at sunrise. My family thought I was crazy to get up at 5:30 to shoot pictures, but I think it was worth it!

Comment left by: Walt Wayman (no e-mail specified) Really nice. I keep telling myself that when I retire, I'll get up early lots of mornings for either fishing or photography. This is why.

Comment left by: Dick Locke (rlocke1 at houston.rr.com) Thanks for the kind words. I have included several other sunrises on my web site if you care to take a peak:
