Just Water

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Jacob Cooper
Title: Just Water
Gear used: OM-1MD + Tokina 28/2.8
Diaphragm: not recorded
Shutter speed: 1/125
Film used: Kodak Elite Chrome 100ASA
Technical information: Handheld shot on a backpacking trip - only lens with me!
Subject information: Lake just past sunset. I was thinking of water shots, and abstract, fill-the-frame-with-water appealed to me. The mountains surrounding were somewhat blah, and by the time we got there, the light was behind them anyways.

Comment left by: Dan Mitchell (no e-mail specified) The wide-angle really works nicely here -- as your eye's led across the image from the top left to bottom right, suddenly you find yourself looking down on the water rather than out at it. Very neat.

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) I like this. Theres something to be said for concept-based minimalism. I could see hanging this over my desk and getting lost in it on occasion.
