Submitter's name: Adam Bolty
Title: Untitled
Gear used: Taken with OM-10 and 35-70 f4 Zuiko plus polariser.
Aperture: f11
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec
Film used: Extrafilm 200 speed film
Subject information: I just liked the dramatic sky and the lines and shading of the building. I basically took this image because I thought with the right subject (eg a person in red) I could make a very effective digital montage. Shot at f 11 to obtain good sharpness and keep the sky in focus as well.

Comment left by: siddiq (no e-mail specified) how did you get the IR look with just a polarizer?

Comment left by: Alasdair Mackintosh (Alasdair.Mackintosh@ntlworld.com) Very effective contrast between the simple geometrical shapes of the building and the complex patterns of the sky. Nicely cropped too - if more of the building was shown I think you'd lose the effect.

Comment left by: Chuck Norcutt (chucknorcutt) Very dramatic.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Tonal range is well handled separating the building from the sky.

Comment left by: Doro (no e-mail specified) I like it a lot, very classic!

Comment left by: Damon Wood (deewhy_au@yahoo.co.uk) What B&W should be! Simple, yet so effective. Well done.

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor (The Photographer) To Benson,
This shot is taken of a small section of alocal surf club on the Gold Coast (Probably have given my identity away now) but it is because the shape reminds me of the Med that I took the image

To Siddiq
The shot was originally on colour but I always saw this as a B&W (95% of what I take is taken on colour film kmowing that it can be changed later digitally). I actually moved into a position so that I got max. polarisation and almost turned the sky black.

To everyone
Thank you for your comments.
