Submitter's name: Piotr Zgodzinski
Title: The Police.
Gear used: OM-G + 35/2.8 + 8x stars filter on the lens + tripod + cable release.
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: B, ~10 seconds.
Film used: Fuji Superia 200 print film.
Technical information: Scanned from film.
Subject information: Shot in Cracow, former capital city of Poland, in The Old Town area. It was around 11 p.m., camera was placed on the tripod, shutter released using cable release, and suddenly a car emerged from around a corner and 'ruined' my precisely planned picture. Ruined it or helped it, what do you think? :)

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Hmmm, whether the car-lights are a feature or not is a bit difficult to say, with them the picture is more dynamical, and without them, the somewhat distracting lines would be gone... Tough call.

Then, OTOH, I noticed a full version of this shot being present in your gallery (which, BTW, I recommend to everyone for taking a look), and I liked that (lack of) cropping a lot as well.

Comment left by: benson (benson@gsb.haifa.ac.il) I like the lines. They make me think of time - our next tope, true enough, but I think they add life and speed to an otherwise very remote feeling.
