Coca Cola at 2200m

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Iwert Bernakiewicz
Title: Coca Cola at 2200m
Gear used: OM-4Ti + 35/2.8 shift + ND2 filter
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: 1/125
Film used: Kodakcolor Gold 100 ASA.
Technical information: This sign hangs at about 3m height. The 35 shift came in handy to correct perspective. ND2 filter used because midday and high altitude, so lot's of light. Freehand, no tripod.
Subject information: As mentioned already, a very open theme. Basically everything shows age. I like this Moroccan sign, as well as the contrasting green of the tiles above and the nice pattern of the grid behind. All these show age, and contrast nicely with the 'young' image of coca cola (written in Arabic).

The dark patch of paint is slightly disturbing in the picture, but it makes it fit the theme even better.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (imagopus@threeshoes.co.uk) Interesting composition and use of colour. I have not seen "Yissis" for a long time (I grew up in Arab countries like Iraq and Bahrain).
