Alhambra

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Chris Barker
Title: Alhambra
Gear used: OM4, using a Zuiko 50/1.4.
Exposure: F1.4, about 1/8 sec.
Film used: Agfa APX100, Film developed in ID11.
Subject information: Alhambra, Granada. This place has aged beautifully over the last 700-odd years (it is one of the latest parts of the Alhambra).
Technical information: The picture is quite soft, either because the lens was wide open or because the shutter speed of the unsupported camera was so slow. Whatever, I like the intersections of arcs and the (sort of) repeat of the pattern of the balustrade in the wooden ceiling beyond.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) I like the dark tones of the image a lot, also, the back light behind the balustrade is really nice.

I've been to the Alhambra myself, but I can't remember this "dramatic view"; nice catch!

Comment left by: benson (benson@gsb.haifa.ac.il) I like the symetry in this photo
