Comments: The woman in the picture is called María Soledad Vasquez, whom I met in 1998, when she told me she was 75 years old. The last time I saw her, she was at a square feeding pigeons which she used to do. Only one week ago I learnt that she had passed away (at the age of 80 years). Every Sunday, she used to walk up hill to a church called "la iglesia del señor de los Milagros de Monserrate" (= "The church of the miracles of Monserrate"), which resides at an elevation of some 1500 metres in the surroundings of the city.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) In one word: brilliant!

In some more words: This is a truly excellent shot, extremely well fitting the theme, and an absolute wall hanger. The only very minor point of improvement would be a slightly more out of focus background, but other than that this shot is marvellous!

Comment left by: benson (benson@gsb.haifa.ac.il) This is my favorite shot of the tope, so far. It's more and less. She's holding herself with strength. So much force, and we see so little of her. You could easily dodge out the background if you wanted to - might be a good idea.

Comment left by: Diego Sierralta (no e-mail specified) Great picture, yes, maybe not flawless on all aspects but the subject is very strong. Nice.

Comment left by: :Doro (no e-mail specified) Excellent shot, thanks for sharing!
