Nice! I can't put my finger on the exact parts that most appeal to me (the colour and shape of the wood? the leaf?), but the picture as a whole very much appeals to me.

I've taken a few shots of this topic myself; but yours leaves mine in the dust. Excellent lighting and the colours have come out very well. This is an OLD rotten pruned knot. Amazing that the scan is so beautifully sharp with no post-processing, and all from a rather small print. A shot to be envied. Brian

Somewhere I have a box of B&W shots of bark and wood - I love textures like this and your photo is a great example.
