Submitter's name: Larry Woods
Title: Untitled
Equipment used: OM-2n, 135mm f/4.5 macro with 65-116mm auto extension tube, handheld
Exposure: Not recorded
Film used: Kodak GC 400-8
Subject Information: The scene is exactly as I found it; the leaf was already in place.

Both the leaf and the knot show age, but in comparison to the knot the leaf is ephemeral.
Technical information: Scanned from a 4x6 inch print with no post processing.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nice!

I can't put my finger on the exact parts that most appeal to me (the colour and shape of the wood? the leaf?), but the picture as a whole very much appeals to me.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) I've taken a few shots of this topic myself; but yours leaves mine in the dust. Excellent lighting and the colours have come out very well. This is an OLD rotten pruned knot.
Amazing that the scan is so beautifully sharp with no post-processing, and all from a rather small print. A shot to be envied. Brian

Comment left by: Jim Caldwell (jamesfc@gte.net) Somewhere I have a box of B&W shots of bark and wood - I love textures like this and your photo is a great example.
