Technical information:	Handheld shot printed on colour paper (hence the sepia tone). The corridor I was standing into (just before the door) wasn't large enough for me to let those archway shades get out of the frame... Anyhow the composition doesn't suffer that much, I think.
Subject information:	The entrance of an old house found on the greatest of the Tremiti islands (San Domino), Apulia - Italy. It took me many years before finally deciding to visit these beautiful islands at just 20 minutes of helicopter fly from my hometown...

Lovely textures and lighting, especially in the contrast between the curtain and the plaster. I think it might be a bit better without the archway intruding into the frame, but sometimes there's no way of avoiding that sort of thing. (Well, there's always a 21mm lens...)

This is very effective as a monotone - I think more color would distract from the gorgeous textures and shadows. Great work.

I think that the shadow gives it a fleeting, or ethereal air. It's as if it is on a scrap of paper left lying in the street and part of the photograph has been torn off. This is a lovely photo, and the name makes me dream of quiet, cool afternoons in a hot climate with a friend...

Excellent shot, great composition. By the way I'm glad those arches got in the way, IMO, it heightens the composition immensely.
