Submitter's name: Diego Sierralta
Title: Victor
Gear used: OM-1 + 50//1.8
Diaphragm: probably f1.8.
Shutter speed: probably 1/60.
Film used: TMAX 400.
Technical information: Scanned the negative with a UMAX firewire scanner (can't remember the model, as it is not mine) on RGB, this is what came out and I ended up liking it more than B+W. (on the computer anyway, the film version has a lot more detail and better tone rendition) Passed through photoshop, got rid of a few dust speckles, selectively ran level adjustment on certain parts, and resized. That's about it.
Subject information: My grandfather, who is 95. One day I grabbed my OM1 and my uncle's OM2S (one with TMAX400, the other with Elitechrome200) and spent both rolls on him (& my family). I had a hard time picking one shot, I can tell you that.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) A very effective shot. The red tones create a warm, powerful image. This shot also works in B/W, but indeed the red version looks better.

Comment left by: benson (benson@gsb.haifa.ac.il) I like it. With all the discussion about centering the image, etc..etc.. (on the gnomes, or whatever those things were...) this picture shows how nicely a non-centered composition works. We can see the light shining on your grandfather, he is bathed in it. The red works well.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Good composition, but I think I'd like B&W better.
