Old Vimodron City

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Ralf Loi
Title: Old Vimodron City
Gear used: OM-4T + 85/2
Diaphragm: Not recorded
Shutter speed: Not recorded but around 1/125
Film used: Velvia
Subject information: The centre of the town where I live (Vimodrone, near Milan) is composed by typical old farms, all build around 1600-1700. Some are renewed but mainly are falling apart. This is one of these. The reason is because in certain cases it is not possible to pull down an old building, and it is allowed only to renew it (but this is very costly). But if the building comes down by itself it is possible to build another building with the same volume of the old one.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nice. The frame and wall show lots of wear of years of existence. The reflection in the window is a refreshing "new" look on the outer world.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) A picture full of interest and regional character. That's quite some time; 400+ years old and still standing despite deliberate neglect over recent times.
The piece of archway at the bottom makes me wonder what the rest looks like!

Comment left by: Ralf Loi (aka the photographer) (no e-mail specified) This is not a reflection, but the inner side of the farm...
