I like the red-tones in this shot, as well as the composition. A minor nitpick is that it's a little bit a pity that the left hand side of the shot misses just that last tiny bit of the violin. Otherwise a great shot!

Nice color and harmony tone but it doesn't show age except some marks on the violin :-)

That new 85/2 certainly shows what it can do with this shot. In the hands of an expert of course ;-) Arresting colour and composition; and the special figure in the maple or sycamore? wood of the violin shows very well indeed.

Lovely use of negative space -- it's almost a duotone. This is proof that in composition, simplicy rules!
