Two English Girls

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Benson Honig
Title: Two English Girls
Gear Used: Om-4 + 135/2.8 Zuiko + Gitzo Tripod
Diaphram: f 2.8
Shutter speed: 1/250
Film Used: Kodak T400 CN
Technical information: I printed this in my darkroom as well - and did a lot of burning in the right hand corner. It was easier to do digitally, of course! My first experience with the C41 B&W. I find it necessary to boost contrast with this film.
Subject information: I was photographing an archway in Southampton, when these two young girls came up to me. They thought I was a reporter, and joked about me taking pictures of them to show on television. I took a series of shots - there is a lot of life and youth in the two of them - and each in the series shows it.

Comment left by: Joel Wilcox (jowilcox@blue.weeg.uiowa.edu) Charming! You've caught a singular moment and the unique personalities of these young girls.

Comment left by: Charlie Geilfuss (cgeilfuss@dycon.com) Lovely photo! I find these types of photo very hard to capture and still maintain their "natural" look. Nicely done.

Comment left by: Peter Leyssens (no e-mail specified) This is possibly my favourite of this TOPE, because it's a very spontaneous and unposed picture of the two kids. Nice result from a great opportunity !

Comment left by: Ayalla (aruvio@gsb.haifa.ac.il) I like this photo. it demonstrates how sensitive you are to other people.
