Comment left by: Mickey (no e-mail specified) A haunting shading, coarse grain and odd shapes add up to mystique. Never would have guessed sand. Though it was asparagus at first! Nice image.

How close were you to the subject? cle size?

Comment left by: The photographer (no e-mail specified) The grain is entirely due to the sand itself (Tech Pan is incredible!). Unfortunately, it's somewhat mangled by the JPEG compre
n. I don't recall for sure how far away the subject was, but probably it was a couple of feet or so.

Comment left by: Ken N (no e-mail specified) Impressionistic forest.

Comment left by: Lama (no e-mail specified) Wow! Texture is right. I thought it was a pine forest, seen from a lookout tower. Nice one.
