Technical information:	This is my own hand. I set the light to the side to try and get a deep shadow so that the texture would show. Had to hold my breath, a very steady hand and wait for the mechanical timer.

Excellent focus. At a distance (from the thumbnail) it almost looks like a quilt. It's the texture when viewed closer that reveals it's the palm of a hand. Very well illuminated to capture the texture. BTW, you could have used your palm to set the exposure too (meter palm and add one stop)! :-) -- John
