Brazillian Blonde

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: CyberSimian
Title: Brazillian Blonde
Gear used: OM4Ti + Tamron SP 90mm 1:1 macro;  Canon FS4000 scanner
Exposure: Centered-weighted TTL auto (details not recorded)
Film used: Kodachrome 200
Technical information: The picture was taken handheld outside.  The scan deviates from the original slide, but I could not work out how to adjust the software (Vuescan and Photoshop 5.0LE) in order to get a faithful representation of the slide. The centre of the picture is the correct shade of brown (after adjustment in Photoshop), but there is too much variation in colour from centre to edge -- the hair at the edges should be very pale brown rather than yellow.
Subject information: A blonde that can be found in Brazil and elsewhere in South America.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nice shot, quite reminiscent of the other flower shot. I like the backlighting that forms the "blonde look".

Comment left by: Chris (ftog at threeshoes.co.uk) That is an interesting shot and composition. I like the colours, so it is a shame that you feel them unfaithful to the original.

Comment left by: Wayne Shumaker (om4t@zuik.net) This is a very difficult type of shot to make work well. I know, I have hundreds in the trash.
