Dawn

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Iwert Bernakiewicz
Title: Dawn
Gear used: OM-4Ti + zuiko 35-80mmf2.8 @ 80mm + uv filter + shade
Diaphragm: f5.6
Shutter speed: approx. 1/125
Film used: Fuji Velvia 50 ASA
Technical information: Freehand. Velvia just was in the camera, and the 35-80 happened to be the lens of that day. (is this technical?)
Subject information: I pass by this view every morning to work, and it was a great pleasure to stop, breath the fresh spring air, and take some pictures.
I liked to capture the atmosphere of the Flemish Primitives. It is almost a winter painting. It expresses serenity and also has great power. The trees lining up and breaking the power of the church. Dawn breaking. The quiet moment before the start of a fine day.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Wow, this shot could have been taken around the corner of my whereabouts. It has a very distinctively central European feel to it.

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor This is around the corner of your whereabouts, just a bit more south and east I guess!

Comment left by: Duncan Paterson (no e-mail specified) I really like the serene quality of this scene; almost like a watercolour. Well taken!
Spring air in September? Is this really central Europe? :)
