Subject information:	In the French countryside water towers make for prominent landmarks almost everywhere. This one, closest to where I was staying, just did not offer a good viewpoint from which to place it in its surroundings, so I got up close.

I like the taking angle and the way the converging lines focus on summit on this landmark. Nice shot.

the water towers i am familiar with are mushroom shaped, with a wide "cap" at the top to increase storage capacity for a given pressure rquirement.. this is pillar shaped or is the perspective not showing the whole structure?

I know those mushroom shaped ones - almost like a trumpet end. This was straight up and down. I wasn't sure it was a water tower until I saw a water company panel.

Very dramatic; a feeling of power. Great composition, and I like the colours as well.
