Two Towers

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Mickey Trageser
Title: Two Towers
Gear used: OM-4Ti, Zuiko 35/2.8, tripod
Diaphragm: Unrecorded
Shutter speed: Unrecorded
Film used: Fuji Provia F 100
Technical information: Not much to say here. Just set up the tripod and composed. Took the OM-4Ti average and bracketed. The day wasn't very brilliant, though later the sun did come out as well as the blue skies. I tramped back into the woods only to find that the light had changed back again.
Subject information: Towering mountains (Tasman and Cook) on the South Island of New Zealand as viewed over Lake Matheson. Title is in reference to the fact that the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in NZ. Beautiful country. If you can get there, do. If you do, take only pictures and leave only footprints.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Looks like Caradhras....
Well, when going to NZ (Middle Earth) DON'T pass through Moria. ;)))

Comment left by: Brian Swale ( ... ) A very good shot of a classic Westland scene, taken under difficult conditions. The great contrast range is typical of many scenes here one would wish to record on film, with dark forest at one end of the spectrum.. Certainly an NZ icon.
