Subject information:	I have found this full of rocks limit in the beautiful mountain chain of the Lagorai, to the sunset (august 2003). We were tired after a day of excursion and this vision gave the exact limit of where the man can arrive....

The light is quite amazing here. The bright sun on the mountains and the threatening-looking sky look wonderful.

I really like the way the Dolomites are illuminated, separated from the lake by hills that are black in shadow, and yet there is luminous reflection in the lake. The dark foreground nicely balances the vertical composition, and the person on the right adds a scale and human dimension as well as a horixontal balance. I gives me a feeling of nostalgia.

Very moving photo. I like how the sun shines on parts of the mountians and the clouds shade the other parts. The colors in the clouds show wonderful hues. Nice shot.
