Submitter's name: Jim Caldwell
Title: Commute.
Gear used: E-10
Diaphragm: F5.6
Shutter speed: 1/15
Film used: Digital!
Technical information: Braced on the dashboard and timed to go off. The movement of the car along with the rain on the windshield created this image!
Subject information: This year I think 80% of my commutes here in Florida looked like this, we had so much rain. The camera was set on the dash at a traffic light and timed to go off after the light turned. I actually had to try this at several intersections to get this shot. Well, at least it kept me entertained at the frequent traffic lights!

Comment left by: Tim Hughes (Hi100@sbcglobal.net) Those wavy lights almost look like lightning on the cars! This photograph grows on me, now I have viewed it a few times.
It got me thinking about what effect a flash would have had, if say held out a side window. Would it have sharpened the cars or caused a general "fogging" effect off the rain? Nice idea to experiment with digital, since you get instant feedback and can keep trying.
