Marathon

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Derren Ahern
Title: Marathon
Gear used: OM-1 + 135mm F3,5
Shutter speed: Probably 1/60
Film used: 400 ASA
Technical information: This pic was taken off a bridge with a 135 f3,5 hand held with 400 film probably 1/60 as it was quite low light. I never use 400 normally but I was lucky to think I might need it on this day.
Subject information: This was a marathon that my wife ran in Vancouver. I chased her around on a push bike with my OM-1 and a roll of 400 no flash. It was pouring with rain this day but the trusty OM never failed me. Apart from a foggy view finder all went well considering. It's actually very hard to spot someone in a crowd of moving people like this.

Comment left by: Jim Caldwell (jamesfc@gte.net) It looks cool and damp, but no question about the movement! Great job!

Comment left by: James N. McBride (jnmcbr@srv.net) The guy in the blue jacket on the left was having a little trouble getting out of the way. That adds a little interesting tension to the colorful image.
