Pipe wrench

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Alan Wayman
Title: Pipe wrench
Gear used: OM-2n + 135mm f3.5
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: 1/125
Film used: Kodak Tmax 400 developed in ID11 (1+1)
Technical information: I used the 135mm to control depth of field. Negative was scanned using Epson 4870.
Subject information: A largish tool with an interesting shape but how to keep it upright? Tennis ball is there for balance, and to keep the jaws open, then I liked the look of the two together. Support is a handmade clay brick from early 1800s.

The composition between the wrench and the tennis balls is interesting. If you wouldn't have explained the reason for having them there I would probably have been left wondering for a long time why they are there. :)

Comment left by: Ken N (no e-mail specified) It looks like a toy doll laying on it's side.
