De-Lights at the Fair

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Volkhart Baumgärtner
Title: De-Lights at the Fair
Gear used: OM-4 + 3.6/35-70
Diaphragm: f3.6
Shutter speed: 1/15 - 1/30 on Auto
Film used: Fuji Superia 200 ASA.
Technical information: No way to set up a tripod in the middle of the walkway with the crowd milling about, so I had to do this handheld. Surprisingly most of the shots done that evening still turned out pretty good. Seems I'm not quite as shaky as I thought. ;-)
Subject information: Every year in May the U.S. Military Installation in Bamberg holds a so-called "German-American Friendship Fair" on post. I usually try to capture some impressions of life and lights at the fair. This is my favorite among this year's shots.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (olaf_greve@hotmail.com) Nice colours, and a very lively picture indeed.

Comment left by: Wiliam Wagenaar (wiliam2@wish.net) This shot makes me remind the fairs in Germany from the years I lived there. (70-79 near Hesepe/Osnabrueck). Seems they still look the same. Nice balance between twilight and atrificial light.
