Traffic and Flower

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Carlos J. Santisteban
Title: Traffic and Flower
Gear used: OM-2SP, Zuiko 40mm f/2, Hoya Skylight filter
Diaphragm: Not recorded (most likely f/2.8)
Shutter speed: Not recorded (OTF Auto)
Film used: Fujichrome Astia 100
Technical information: "Scanned" with the EOS-300D plus Zuiko 1:1 Macro 80mm f/4 on OM Bellows. Slight adjustments on PS trying to match the file with the original slide...
Subject information: Taken at Rambla de Belen, in Almeria (Spain). While making other rather conventional shots for TOPE 20, I saw a few cars stopped at a traffic light. I liked the similarity between the flower and the blurred red lights in the background.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) It's subtle - but perhaps TOO subtle obviously to qualify as a cityscape.

Comment left by: Fernando Gonzalez Gentile (no e-mail specified) Think that a longer focal lenght would have lessen the subtlety, bringing the red ligths closer and trafic lights effect more effective; therefore the similarity/contrast more clear. Perhaps 100mm would have sufficed...
