Technical information: Since the fog was so thick I decided to overexpose by one stop from the meter's reading.
Subject information: I came across this scene on my way back from the post office on a Saturday morning. Cursing myself for not bringing my camera, I hurried home and returned to take the shot. It was taken near a body of water downstream from Shaw Pond near the town of Otis, Massachusetts.

Comment left by: Bill Barber (nsurit@aol.com) I'm glad you went back for your camera, to capture this serene scene. I used my blank piece of paper cropping tool to chop a bit off the top to create a longer horizonal picture, which I found pleasing. That may just be because I am in a long horizonal period. You image works nicely either way.

Comment left by: Gord Ross (no e-mail specified) Love the mood and the way the focus on the grass in the foreground contrasts yet defines the scene.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) Very attractive "atmospheric" shot. All I can offer is that the slanted stick (?) at right is visually jarring with the rest.

Comment left by: Photographer (no e-mail specified) The "slanted stick" is a medium sized dead tree on the island.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (no e-mail specified) Lovely Richard.
