The re-submitted version of this entry really works much better. The lovely shallow DOF and the weird colours work really well.

Very effective. If I had not seen the previous version I would not have had a clue as to what this subject is. As it is, it also looks like two x-rayed 3-fingered hands interlocking, with lacquered finger-nails. Or the claws of a trap !! A striking composition.
