Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Chris Savage
Title: The Way of all Flesh
Gear used: OM2SP, Zuiko 35/2.8, red filter
Diaphragm: not recorded
Shutter speed: not recorded
Film used: Ilford Delta 100
Subject information: I'd seen a rather fine crop of snowdrops appearing in this churchyard, so wandered back a couple of days later to get a few pics of them. Ended up spending four hours finding more and more photo opportunities and terrifying young mothers out for a Saturday stroll with their infants.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) Great photo. Well done; I like it.
What a great age for a tombstone to have survived intact !!

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) Nicely seen. I am a biy troubled by the gravestone at top left corner, neither in nor out.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (no e-mail specified) Very atmospheric Chris, a nice use of mono and grain as it reflects the texture of the stone well. I don't find it very "simple" though ;-). Where is the churchyard?

Comment left by: Chris Savage (no e-mail specified) It was the simplicity of the subject that grabbed me. "WE need to make a grave, let's hack a person-shaped hole out of this lump of rock."

Churchyard is a 20 minute walk from my house in Ryton (NE40)
