Two Flowers

Title: Two Flowers
Gear: OM-2s, 50mm F2, C.Pol
Shutter Speed: 1/60 at F4
Media: E100VS
Subject Information: This photograph was taken in Thousand Oaks, CA on a business trip. The flowers looked so good compared to the brown snow and cold of New England. I think it could use a little more DOF, but I didn't have a tripod. I like the bokeh. The slide was scanned with an Epson 2450 with no adjustment.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nice colours and a nice contrast between the sharp flower in the foreground and the blurred one in the background.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) This shot is one illustration to answer my questions about the 50/2 !! It would be interesting to see what some unsharp mask could do for an already sharp image.

The only quibble I have is that the mauve of the out-of-focus flower clashes a little with the red and yellow of the poppy; but I know full well it is not easy always to get perfection with a "found" shot. Great photo.

Comment left by: Bill Barber (nsurit@aol.com) I really like this image. Color, DOF, composition. The entire package. If I were to print it, I'd probably darken the corners a bit, but then that is just personal preference. This is, IMHO, a strong image.
