Submitter's name: Chris Barker
Title: Bedford
Gear used: Olympus E-1, ISO400 with 14-54 lens.
Subject information: This is the centre of Bedford, where the River Great Ouse runs through the town. There are normally many rowers, but the sun is about to set, the lights are lit and the promenaders are about to start their perambulations. The swans wanted to be fed, but wandered off downriver when I looked uninterested.
Technical information: Taken as SHQ with all parameters set to 0. Levels in PS with Fred Miranda's Intellisharpen II and E-1 Resize Pro.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) A nice moody shot, with the swam swimming (seemingly) towards the lonely rower.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) Coo, just goes to show what is on your (my) doorstep waiting to be shot. Nice work.

Comment left by: Gary Edwards (no e-mail specified) When we visited, Chris and Julia convinced us to go punting on the River Cam. Warm summer weekend day; you could walk shore to shore on the punts. This is quite a bit less crowded. We had a fine time anyway, but no pictures as nice as this.

Comment left by: Andrew Wendelborn (no e-mail specified) Serene. Nicely atmospheric, well captured.

Comment left by: Fernando Gonzalez Gentile (no e-mail specified) Quite symbolic, perhaps dialectic. I like it a lot.
