No where else but Texas

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Steve Goss
Title: No where else but Texas
Gear used: OM2n, Zuiko 50mm F3.5
Diaphragm: Unknown
Shutter speed: Automatic
Film used: Fuji Superia 100
Technical information: Just a snapshot
Digital trickery: Crop of the middle from a vertical, dust spotted, unsharp masked.
Subject information: Shiloh is of the attractions at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The guy in the hat will sell you a framed Polaroid print of yourself or your favorite kid sitting in Shiloh's saddle. Some of you may think that this is not quite within the bounds of the transportation theme, since Shiloh is not moving. (or should we say mooving) But, Shiloh is ridden to and from the Stockyards on a regular basis, so it does qualify.

You've just got to love the expressions on the faces of everyone (incl. the Texas Longhorn) involved. :)

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) I concur with Olaf, plenty of fun is evidenced in the expressions. Apart from Shiloh "You pointing that thing at ME?" as she chews gum!

Comment left by: Gary Teller (no e-mail specified) Great shot-really appeals to me. I agree with Piers...this shot says FUN. If I were there I'd probably have my picture taken in the saddle.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Weird interpretation of the theme, but it works.

...Wayne

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) Great shot; glad to see it.
A tribute to the thousands of working cattle-beasts that have helped people move huge weights in years gone by. They are amazingly strong.
