Fleur bleue.

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Noël Polis
Title: Fleur bleue.
Gear used: OM-2n + 35~105 F3,5~4,5 at close focus setting ; hand held.
Diaphragm: F8
Shutter speed: 1/125
Film used: Fujicolor Superia 200 ASA
Technical information: I used the lens that was mounted and had no other one. Fortunately, the weather was not windy, and the sun was sweet but sufficient. Scanned at 600 dpi with a bad scanner (will not mention the model).
Subject information: Walking along a country way, last week, I noticed some nice flowers but don't know their name. In french, "nature" means also "simple, as it is" and that's what I like in this shot. My wife was waiting so I had not much time to shoot at ease ...

Comment left by: Andrew McPhee (macca@maccastuff.com) Well done for hand-held, you got the sharpness of the petals and DOF just right.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) A "grab shot" to be proud of!

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) Effective image, and you have shown another aspect of this versatile and competent lens.
Despite the f/8 stop, the flower is very well isolated from the background, and you have a shot worth hanging in a frame.

Comment left by: José Adolfo Segura (jafsc@sympatico.ca) What I like in this shot is simplicity but ever more the subtlities lila tones and the movement of petals.
Très bonne prise ;)
