Subject:	This photo was taken at the Isle of La Palma, one of the Canary Islands, west of Africa, at its highest peak (2426 meter) the 'Roque de Los Muchachos', looking down at the huge volcanic erosion crater 'Caldera Taburiente', above the clouds. The isle is known for its beauty (isla bonita = beautiful island) with dramatic volcanic landscapes and large sub-tropical forests. It really is one big volcano, and it is still active - the last eruption of the volcano Teneguia in the south was in 1971. This is also the isle that may cause a world wide disaster somewhere in the future when a big eruption can break half of the isle and sink it to the bottom of the ocean, which would result in a mega-tsunami...
