Blue, Gold, Green

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Parzival Herzog
Title: Blue, Gold, Green
Gear used: OM4T, Zuiko 35-70 f/3.5-4.5, C*non FS4000 film scanner, Gimp V2
Diaphragm: f8? I don't have pocket protector, hence no pen, hence no notes. Never have.
Shutter speed: 1/250? 1/500? I remember being concerned about the wind which was quite strong, so probably 1/500.
Film used: Fujichrome Sensia 100.
Technical information: Scanned at 4000dpi. I don't think levels needed adjusting. The yellows in the 4 o'clock portion of the flower "blew out", but I liked the rest of the image so I didn't do anything about that. Resized for TOPE and mildly sharpened. C*non 5D, eat your heart out!
Subject information: In our local public garden, where people rent plots to grow vegetables, each fall there are many interesting harvest scenes. This is one of them.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) I've always wanted to make a shot like this, but we don't have any sunflowers nearby. :)
I love the colours and the sharpness in this shot.
