Sun Bathing

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Jay Drew
Title: Sun Bathing
Gear used: OM-4Ti + Kiron 105
Diaphragm: Auto - see technical info
Shutter speed: 1/500 or 1/250
Film used: Kodakcolor Gold 200 ASA.
Technical information: This was a hand held shot so I kept the shutter speed fast at the expense of the depth of field. Slight use of sharpening in Photoshop, a fair amount of cropping.
Subject information: I didn't get a model's release. He/She didn't stick around long enough.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nicely done, and great that you got the focus exactly right on the fly! It looks like the DOF was really shallow.

Comment left by: Andrew McPhee (macca@maccastuff.com) Great effort for being hand-held. Interesting colors on the fly, never realised they were green. Must look closer at an Aussie fly before I swat it next time.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (no e-mail specified) Well done; it is surprising that he/she stuck around long enough for you to get the shot.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) Very impressive indeed for a handheld macro shot - not obviously out of focus and very good framing - well done.

Comment left by: Johan Malmström (no e-mail specified) Very nice. One could almost suspect that you did some cloning removing the nail :)
