Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Ian Wilcox
Title: Basking in the sun
Gear used: E-1 + 14-45 at 45mm
Diaphragm: f5.6
Shutter speed: 1/80s
Film used: Digital
Technical information: It was the last shot of the day, the sun was low and a little too strong earlier. iso set to 100, contrast 0 sharpness 0 colourspace sRGB. No post processing apart from resizing, sorry this ones all digital but will hopefully scan the next one from film.
Subject information: We had taken the boys to try out their remote control aeroplane in the local field and as we were leaving one of the boys wanted a picture of "the funny mushrooms". My wife decided she liked this one was the best because of the light.

Comment left by: Andrew McPhee (macca@maccastuff.com) Love the lighting. Only things that bother me are the two bright background 'spots'.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (no e-mail specified) Good selective focus, and surprisingly close for the lens I should have thought.

Comment left by: Piers Hemy (no e-mail specified) I think this shows an E-1 advantage - being able to grab a final shot in light conditions that were very different from those a couple of hours before. I would have cropped closer, but I do like the quality of light.

Comment left by: Duncan Paterson (no e-mail specified) Lovely texture brought out by the warm, low-angle sunlight. Very pleasing.
