Fungle in the Jungle

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Ian Wilcox
Title: Fungle in the Jungle
Gear used: E-1 + 14-54mm at 14mm
Diaphragm: f5
Shutter speed: 1/125s
Film used: Digital
Technical information: Once again I found the best of my shots during this period was with he E1 rather than OM, I picked ten for the shortlist and my wife preferred this one as it was more unusual than the others and the colours are good. It is not tweaked although I am beginning to suspect Iview is maybe doing something. It was resized in gimp.
Subject information: Out walking with the family around a lake I saw this tree in the forest and thought it might be worth braving the ticks (safely in the knowledge that I have been vaccinated against the worst they can do, they may be litle but they can have quite an effect on you) to lie on the floor. I hope you agree with my wife's choice :-)

I like the angle on this shot; your wife made a good choice!

Comment left by: Darin Rhein (d dot rhein at comcast dot net) Beautiful shot! Of course I am fond of fungi.

Comment left by: Bernard Frangoulis (no e-mail specified) Good shot! Reminds me of a mushroom shot of Jan Steinman some years ago, taken with a Zuiko 16mm with 7mm extension tube. I like close working distance wide angle shots.

Comment left by: Flemming Kristensen (no e-mail specified) I like the light on this one. There is just enough in the shadows to make the picture work. Also I would like to note that the number of digital images in TOPE seems to be mushrooming.
