Whoa! You're right about the colours! Nice! For me this photo has a modern art feeling about it, and I don't mean that in a negative way. It's like the more I look at it the more I appreciate it and the courage it took to shoot it. I like.

Yes, the colours ARE good. The fuzzy white chair in the background spoils it a bit, though. It creates an unwanted hot-spot right at center stage, which draws attention from the main subject. A slightly different camera position would have placed the chair outside the frame, thereby increasing the impact of the colors. It is dangerous to photograph while sitting on something. I know from myself that the more comfortable you are, the less likely you are to get up and try to find a better angle.
