Killdeer & clutch of eggs.

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Darin Rhein
Title: Killdeer & clutch of eggs.
Gear used: OM-2SP + Winder 1 + Sigma 600mm Mirror Lens + tripod + M. Remote Cord.
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: Auto
Film used: Fuji Superia 100.
Technical information: I used the 600mm to get a nice tight composition, without having to get to close. Scanned from print, edited with the Gimp.
Subject information: This unwitting Killdeer happened to make its nest right next to a path at a local wildlife refuge, just in time for the refuges grand opening. Fortunately, everyone I saw kepting a respectable distance.

Comment left by: Moose (olymoose@moosemystic.net) Hey, that's a nice picture, but not a legitimate dog's eye view. The view of the nest would be without adult and the dog's view would be of the adult running around luring it away from the nest. {;p>
