Diaphragm: f5.6

Technical information: I took this photo in my kitchen, lit by a south-facing window to my front, at ISO 100 using auto white balance, ESP metering and manual focussing. I processed the RAW image in Olympus Studio, setting saturation CS2, contrast 0 and sharpness +3, and resized the image in Photoshop.
Subject information: Tartiflette is a potato gratin from the Savoy region that I learned to cook when I lived in Grenoble in the south of France. Here's one of the : better recipes. As you can see it's really easy to make, and is the perfect winter food.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) This is a good food photo. Very sharp where it needs to be, and with a good range of illumination. It also shows the interesting parts of this kind of cooking result (dish) that is never uniform all the way through. I can just imagine what it tastes like, and how energy-giving in winter. Looking at it makes me hungry. I downloaded the recipe!
